SAFE CHILDREN, SAFE CHURCH - NEW SAFEGUARDING PROCEDURES

New laws come into operation on 12th October and whilst existing volunteers with a completed CRB certificate will be able to continue their work in Parishes any NEW volunteers after this date (or volunteers who do not yet have a CRB certificate) will need to apply to the Independent Safeguarding Authority for inclusion in a National Register and also complete a CRB application. They will not be permitted to carry out any role within a Parish until both applications are completed in full. If you fit into the category above please contact Fr. John or Christine Burrowes, Parish Child Protection Representative 020 8502 0079, to arrange CRB application before the deadline as a matter of urgency. Anyone who has access to children or vulnerable adults should have a CRB form now!

ALL parishioners involved in any parish ministry should have a CRB form!
